Why Does My SASSA Application Say Declined?

The South African Social Security Agency is backed by law in South Africa. The social security agency act No. 9 of 2004 has served many people in South Africa. This Agency looks at the human rights of citizens in South Africa, especially their welfare, which covers older people, eligible children, and others. This institution manages the affairs of vulnerable individuals categorized in their criteria and provides grants to such individuals.

It is the right of every person in South Africa to be part of SASSA to benefit in all aspects when the need arises. There are other challenges that SASSA faces, which could be the growth of beneficiaries in their numbers. The government faces a bumpy marketing structure, advertisement, and uneven facilitation of new applicants.

Why does my SASSA application say declined?

Have you tried applying at SASSA and got your application rejected or declined? This can be frustrating at times and very heartbreaking. But understanding the criteria or requirements of SASSA can reduce the tendency of getting your application declined. There may be a number of reasons for your application to be declined. The bottom line of this rejection is when your information or application process does not meet the right criteria of SASSA.

As we continue to learn, we may suggest a few reasons why your SASSA application says declined, and these include:

Also note that the SASSA application may take a longer time than expected, and this is due to the lumpy system in the government organization.

How do I fix a declined SRD grant?

Always know that if you get your SRD grant declined, there are many ways to look at it. Once you truthfully qualify for the SRD grant, you could take a gradual step to fix that issue of rejection.

Normally, the SASSA process grants and payments in December, and should you not receive your grants after December, then there is a sign that your application has been declined. In some cases, your application status can alert you of the rejection. In this article, we highlight a few ways how to fix a declined SRD grant.

But before that, as we stated above, there are many reasons an application can be declined. As you know, some are inevitable; therefore, if you know you do not qualify, there is very little to be done about it.

You can appeal if your SRD grant was declined, but you need to understand the reason behind that declined application. For example, if the details you provided during your SASSA application do not match with what the department of home affairs has, you can always do a cross-check at both ends to actually know what went wrong. This could be a wrong entry of date of birth or other personal details

submitted.

Appealing your SRD grant is the only way to fix a declined application. You can do that by visiting the official website of SASSA using the URL www.srd.sassa.gov.za and clicking on the reconsideration tab by submitting the details that might be missing.

Human eros may occur while putting in such an application, and this can cause a decline in your SRD grant. One way to fix this is to go through your application thoroughly to correct any errors that might have occurred during the initial stage of the application.

Why My R370 Grant Shows UIF Registered?

If you have applied for an R370 grant, but your status shows UIF registered, then you are already enjoying some benefits with another government entity. As part of the requirements of SASSA if you are receiving benefits from UIF you will not receive an SRD grant. The UIF registration indicates you have applied with UIF and receiving or expecting to receive an R370 grant. You should know that these government entities interconnect bridging information provided during any application process.

Why Is My SASSA R370 Still Pending?

The anxiety of looking forward to receiving your grant can really be overwhelming. If you find out your SASSA R370 is still pending, then your application has not been successfully approved yet. This may take time as SASSA needs to go through each process and scan all documents to ensure the information provided is accurate and valid. If you see a pending status on your SASSA R370, you need to exercise patience for the due diligence to be done at their end. This does indicate processing and validation are still ongoing.

Can I Reapply If My SASSA R370 Grant Is Declined?

Reapplying means putting in a new application with SASSA, which can automatically give you another rejection. The system of SASSA does not allow an individual to reapply upon declining or rejection. The ideal way is to appeal for your application to be considered. And this goes to applicants who believe they have been rejected unfairly and are willing to provide the right information for their SASSA R370 to be corrected.

How long does reconsideration take for SRD?

The communications director at SASSA has communicated in the past that the application process takes time. And this is why those who fairly qualify can apply using the right information and valid documents. You do not want your application to be rejected when you know the application approval takes a lot of time.

The reconsideration of SRD may not be definite as they are many applications each year. As a better way of communicating with applicants, SASSA has indicated that reconsideration can take two to three months.
