Step 2: Send a message to the number indicating that “SRD Grant” 

Step 3: Indicate whether you are applying for yourself (by sending the number 1) or on behalf of someone else (by sending the number 2) by selecting the appropriate option from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Send a message with your first name (as it appears on your ID) in the subject line.

Step 5: Send a message with your surname or any other name(as it appears on your ID) in the subject line.

Step 6: Read the terms and conditions; upon agreeing respond “Yes” to the message.

Step 7: Indicate whether you are a citizen of South Africa (by sending the number 1), a permanent resident (by sending the number 2), or a foreigner (by sending the number 3) by sending the appropriate number.

Step 8: A link will be sent to you by the officer you are chatting with; click that link in the Whatsapp chat.

Step 9: Confirm and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Declaration and Consent Documents.

Step 10: Enter your Valid Identification number to confirm your identity.

Step 11: To finish your application for the R350 grant, just follow the prompts on your screen.
