How to Register for Matric Results

With advanced information and communication technology, you can check your results in the comfort of your home before getting the physical results statement. You can do this by registering for different services on your mobile phone or online.

The SMS service is one of the most popular methods people use to view their results. To register for the service, you must send an SMS with your examination number and ID number to 35658. Check is both numbers must have 13 digits to avoid rejection by the system. Remember that registering for the service attracts a once-off fee of R3. Once you are registered, you will automatically get an SMS with your results from the Department of Education.

Another option to view your results is registering for the USSD service using the code *120*35658# and entering your exam number. You will also be asked several questions regarding your details which you must provide. When you register, you can dial the USSD code, and you will be able to view your results.

Another method to register for matric results is to download the MatricsMate App and from Apply Play Store or Google Play Store. Install it on your device and launch it whenever you want to use it. Enter your examination number and ID number; your results will be displayed on the app’s dashboard if available. If they are not yet ready, you can keep on checking. Do You Get a Matric Certificate if You Failed?

You can still get your matric certificate even if you fail your exams. Your failure does not spell the end of your academic career since there are other options you can consider if you are in this predicament. For example, a matric upgrade can help you improve your passes in the subjects you performed poorly. You can also add new subjects when you upgrade your matric.

The good thing is that your new and old certificates with poor results converged to make it one. As a result, you’ll end up with only one certificate with desirable results. You don’t need to visit your school to get your results for the first time. You can only collect the physical result statement when you already know the outcome. These methods are safe and secure since they are designed to protect your privacy. Feel free to choose something convenient for you.
