A Bachelor’s Pass in Matric is recognized as the highest pass you can obtain in Matric. With this pass level, you can pursue your studies at university, any higher learning institution, or choose other job-entry professions. 

How Many Subjects to Pass Matric With Bachelor?

To get a bachelor’s pass, you must have the following grades.

However, if you do well in all seven subjects, you stand a better chance of going to any university of your choice. You must also get a minimum of 23 A.P.S. to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree Pass.

What Can I Study With a Bachelor Pass in Matric?

With a Bachelor’s pass in Matric, you can pursue different bachelor’s degree courses at college or university. However, you must meet the institution’s other requirements, such as A.P.S. You can study for a degree program in any of the following fields. 

Apart from studying at a university with a bachelor’s pass, you can also study at a university of technology, distance learning colleges, or T.V.E.T. College. You can pursue any of the following courses at these institutions: Diploma courses, certificate courses, or short courses. You should know that a bachelor’s pass is not a degree but a high pass that allows you to study for a degree at a university or any higher learning institution. 

A Bachelor’s Degree pass also allows you to study for a National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (N.A.T.E.D.). This academic program was designed by the Department of Higher Education and Training (D.H.E.T.) to help students become employable. The courses provide knowledge and work experience to students to help them become marketable when they seek employment. The following are N.A.T.E.D. courses you can consider.

With a Bachelor’s Pass in Matric, you can also obtain ICB courses which are offered by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, and they are business oriented. They are tailored to provide scarce skills which are often sought in different workplaces. Most of the skills are applied in administration, finance, and management departments. People with these skills can even start their businesses which helps reduce unemployment in South Africa. 

ICB courses are accredited by professional bodies, which makes them valuable across the country and abroad. You can utilize your ICB course to pursue your studies internationally. Some of the ICB courses you can consider include the following: 

  A Bachelor’s Pass in Matric can also help students pursue short courses to improve their skills. These courses provide hands-on experience and are often easy to complete since they do not include written examinations. You can undertake these short courses during your spare time.  

Can You Get a Bachelor Pass if You Fail One Subject?

Yes, you can get a bachelor’s pass in Matric if you fail one subject. Students write seven subjects in Matric, and a home language is compulsory. In most cases, Maths and Science subjects are the biggest challenges to matric students. Your degree pass will be recognised if you do well in other subjects and fail any of the six subjects.
