Now, after meeting all these requirements and having this information down, log into the Sassa website https://srd.sassa.gov.za/reinstae and scroll down till you meet “reinstate my cancelled application”. After that, enter your details in the required fields, and click the “send pin” button. You will then set a one-time pin to fill the OPT option in the field required; after you are done, click the “verify pin” button. Now choose a reason for your reinstatement.

Why you should reinstate the SASSA r350 grant

There are many reasons why people reinstate their SRD grants concerning issues about their personal life and sometimes from SASSA. Most applicants cancel the grant because their conditions have changed. For example, they have a job now and no longer need support from SASSA.

If something happens and you lose your job, you have all the right to reinstate it. You can cancel and reinstate whenever you feel the need to. You should reinstate too, if Sassa cancelled your previous application because you did not meet some criteria.

Will I Get Approved If I Reinstate My SASSA R370 Grant?

Individuals who applied for the SRD grant and it has been cancelled either by themselves or SASSA and has been able to go through the reinstatement process successfully, SASSA will review your application and bring feedback. Your application will only be approved if you meet the requirement, or it will be rejected. You can be declined even after you get approved because approvals are month-by-month based. Once approved, you will receive an SMS requesting your bank details. After that, the payment process will begin. You should keep one thing at the back of your head; not all applicants will be approved, so you should not keep your hopes too high. Also, regarding how long it will take for your approval, the Independent Tribunal will notify you online, which will take about 60-90 days from the day you set your application.

Can You Cancel SRD Grant and Reapply?

The most interesting part of the SRD grant is you can always cancel and reapply when you want to. You have first to visit the website https://.srd.sassa.gov.za/,scroll down to the tab Cancel my Application and click on the yellow bar which reads “click here to cancel online”. Provide your ID number and mobile number and click “send pin”“. You will then receive a one-time pin. Fill the numbers into the space given and click “cancel my grant”. A message will later verify if you still want to go on with the cancellation; click yes if you want to and no if you do not want to. 

After this is done, you will not receive any grant from SASSA again until you reinstate using these steps: log into the Sassa website https://srd.sassa.gov.za/reinstae and scroll down till you meet “reinstate my cancelled application”. After that, enter your details in the required fields. Click the “send pin” button. You will then set a one-time pin to fill the OPT option in the field required; after you are done, click the “verify pin” button. Now choose a reason for your reinstatement.
