If you are a student who has received their 2025 Matric examination results and you are not satisfied with your marks, you might want to think about applying for a remark of your matric exams. The cost for a remark is R120 per subject, and if you want to recheck your results, it will cost you R29 per subject.

To ensure that students are committed to the remark process, UNISA charges an application fee of R135.00. In addition, if you want to review your examination scripts, you must pay R60.00. This will allow you to carefully analyze your answers. The process of remarking examination scripts costs R525.00. This fee covers the administrative and evaluative work done by the university staff.

How long does it take to remark Matric results?

Typically, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks to complete the process of remarking matric results. During this period, skilled examiners carefully examine the papers to make sure they are accurate and fair. What is considered a fail in matric?

Also, if you get a score of 0 – 39% in your home language during your matric, it can be regarded as fail.

Although a student can excel in certain subjects, not meeting the requirement or standards in the pass mark can be considered a failed. This decision is regulated and implemented by the Department of Education.
